Meet your English teacher Mercy O!

Hello. I am Mercy O, and I can't recall a time when I didn't love the English language. English has been the basis of my best hobbies which includes writing poems, non-fiction articles, and reading. Although my English teaching career is just taking off, I am very familiar with the world of English and its learning. My love for the language and my recognized skills in the speaking and writing of it led to the only formal employment I had, where I worked as an editor for 4 years. At this job, I wrote and edited handbooks, emails, courses and social media captions. Having experienced what tutoring English as a second language looks like through the Novakid lenses, I am very confident in my abilities to not only help both young and very young learners learn and understand the language. I also love it as well. Teaching is second nature to me, as I have always had pre-teens and teenagers around me who love to learn the crafts I dabble in. I have taught crochet, sewing, songs, and I have always been successful at imparting the knowledge of these crafts to all of my learners. I understand that most learners thrive in a welcoming but fun ambience, and I especially love making my students’ acquaintances because I also learn from my relations with them. My Superpower is that I can recreate almost any object! I am one very good ESL teacher who is out to give every learner the best they deserve, and the minutest experience any learner has of my classes will leave them wanting more.
